Week 26
It's spring cleaning AND nesting mania going on over here so Cole was dressed for a Sunday around the house and we ended up pretty much doing nothing. She managed to clean the bathrooms, and I managed to make breakfast and then wrote most of the day. I was in a panic as I thought my Macbook was dying. I bought it 3 years ago and have been a horrible abusive lover to it. Well a little google searching and a simple solution to an annoying problem. A tiny precious oragami star was constructed and placed under the battery, on top of the track pad, and I am back in business. Crisis averted.
Look at this belly grow! It is so amazing. The soft box I use really washes out the veins coursing thru her belly. It's so awesome to see her body grow to support a life. I am thinking of trying to light things a little different next week to see it better. She keeps threatening a tan once the summer hits and I tried to hold her off by swearing I read that she would burn the baby if she laid in the sun. I will never understand why people lay in the sun. What's worse spray-tan-orange, cancer, or gorgeous glowing white? I'll take the Casper every time.

All the Love in the Universe ~ Me
P.S. I was nominated by this super lady for a blogger award. Now since this has never happened to me before and I was born with a fire in my belly to win. I thought I should make an effort to encourage you to consider the candidates AND VOTE IN THIS CATEGORY.

Cole you look amazing! I still cannot believe you two get it together to get this done every week - your baby is going to love this.
This is so awesome! When I was preggo, I took a pic every week, similar to what you are doing, and put together a scrapbook with it- but yours are so much more energetic, so much more creative and interesting... I wish I had thought of writing right on the photos like that!
Cole, you look FAB! Hope your baby shower is more fun than you can imagine! :)
Yessss! A bare belly shot ;)
I say it every week but Cole is absolutely beautiful!

I love your weekly preggo shots! She looks so grea. I also had a grapefruit craving with baby #2.
TO COLE: You are beautiful. don't ever forget that!
These pictures are amazing. What a wonderful gift to your unborn child. When they are older, it will be appreciated.
As the son of a dermatologist I am a fan of pale. Although growing up I did my fair share of scorching my skin.
Woohoo! Monday's rock because of these posts. It's amazing how much growth can happen in just a week! She looks so youthful in the photo for some reason, gorgeous as ever!
Yay!
i can't freaking believe how great she looks...i was wearing a wide load sign right about this time
She looks amazing! And you are great for doing this. I love the photos.
Dear Husband-
To be clear, I did not threaten to "tan" as in lay out pointlessly in the sun. I merely stated that I was going to enjoy my summer in the sun, and in the water as I always have. I am not going to huddle in a cave just because I am pregnant. Geeze. A little sun wouldn't hurt your white ol' torso either :)
A local DJ I listen to, just had his first baby on Friday. He was the eternal bad boy, the " I'm not gonna marry, or have kids". Well, he found his love about a year ago, and on friday, they had their first child. They interviewed him on the radio, and he mentioned that he wasn't going to cry. Then he started talking about his wife going through labor, and how he's had 9 months to prepare for this moment. He thought he was ready, until that very moment that they put his son in his hands. He said it was...then he choked up. He couldn't speak. I know the incredibly overwhelming feeling that you have for that precious person laid in your arms. The incredible love that you feel, and the desire to just hold them close forever, and protect them.
You are very lucky to have such a wonderful relationship, and I KNOW you will cherish all these wonderful pictures of your lovely wife, long after your new bundle of love is here. Enjoy, and be prepared to not be prepared, until that glorious day.
Your blog better win! There's no reason why it shouldn't.
Make sure if/when Cole spends her summer outside she wears the tan lotion.
Ha! You got told by Cole.
Great pictures, you look serene,Cole, and radiant.
I'll vote for you, Ryan. ALSO ! Please

i just wanted to say I love following these pics. I wait for the new one every week.
I haven't had a whole lot of experince with babies, in fact they kind of scary me. It is so nice to watch two people getting excited about the arrival of one :)
I am excited for you being excited about the impending arrival. yay!
Beautiful, per usual.
too cute
incredibly fabulous, as usual. And don't you KNOW by know, that many of us LOVE the way the sun feels???
As soon as there is the THREAT of sun- I am in it for sure!!!
You just couldnt ask for a more beautiful wife! seriously.
also would be super cool to have all of these framed separately and hung collage style in the nursery.
@ LG - mind reader :)
All pregnant women are beautiful. But Cole is just...ethereal. This series of pics never disappoints.
I just noticed Cole's tattoo!
She looks wonderful....still itty bitty....just beautiful, as usual!
Awww.... congratulations Ryan! How exciting. This series is so cute (and so is your wife!)
x Fanny x
@ Fanny- WOW! you look great. Thanks for saying hi :) It has been ages. Subscribed to your blog so I can stay caught up.
So I may be missing it, but do you know what you are having? If I had a vote..it would be a boy!
Wow, look at all those comments! I'm de-lurking for the first time, just wanted to say that I love how you tell your life story with such honesty and beauty. You photography work is phenomenal and I hope nothing but good things come from now on.
Regarding the series, I especially love that you switched to taking shots that include Cole's head - her facial expressions add that perfect touch of magic and humanity. Can't wait to see the shots you take of the new baby!
@ Sarah- We are waiting to find out if it is a boy or girl. I would have never guessed I would be so into leaving it a mystery but it has been really fun being in the dark on this one.
@ Ames- thanks for saying hi. I am actually going back (when I have time) and reworking the first couple pics. At first we were just going to focus on the belly. I couldn't stand cropping her out so we just went for it. I am so happy with the way this series is turning out. Thanks again for commenting :)
I am so glad that my dad loved this weeks picture so much.
From a fellow Paley McPalerson, tell Cole that she ROCKS the Casper look. No tan! NO TAN!
oh my!!!
Cole you look amazing.
I can't believe this, I'm so excited for you guys.
How would you not tan living in Florida?
I just noticed Cole's tattoo for the first time too, although now I see that it makes an appearance in some of the other pictures.
Question for Cole: Does the tattoo get stretched out with the pregnancy, and if so, does it go back to its original shape? I've often considered getting one on my ribs but am afraid of what would happen if I get pregnant someday!
LOVE the pics by the way! All of them!
Theses pictures are beautiful... and Cole, you look so happy and peaceful with this baby ! Your happiness is sweet for all of us. Thanks for sharing.
Those are some of my favs! I can't wait to see how you display these, once the series is complete!
I'm, of course, a fan of the belly pictures but in this post I must say I'm kinda intrigued by the origami star solution to your iBook problems!
Beautiful, beautiful pics!
A friend of mine just sent me your link. I am so impressed, first with your work, and second with your honesty. This is a beautiful work of love. What a great piece you and your wife have and continue to create. Thank you for sharing!!
I love your blog. I am due in June too and you provide an amazingly different perspective.
