In Response to the Response About Cloth
Hello everyone! Remember this?

A few weeks back I posted a post about Fuzzibunz and cloth diapers, and was hit with a swarm of questions thru comments, tweets, and personal emails. At first I was all like: "Umm hello. I never said I was some super know it all cloth diaper expert?!" It was a really awesome response to the post and I was happy to help spread the good word on such a great product. Cole gets all the credit, as she used them 5 years prior to this to cover The Littlest Buddies bum and she just loved them. So... here was the problem I had with answering many of the emails I received. The main question was always HOW MANY?! How many diapers to buy? Well, I just simply don't know all of the variables involved to spit out a personalized number, I have no idea what velocity or the frequency that your baby poos and pees. So I have no real way of knowing how many diapers to suggest. What if I say 12 and it isn't enough-- and then you hate me? What if I say 18 and it is way too much-- and then you hate me? You see the pattern? All roads lead to you hating me. So I just sat in my silence and on top of my mountain of personal cloth diaper knowledge, and kept it all to myself like a greedy hog just basking in my daughters no leak, no rash, environmentally sound glory. That is when the guilt started to pile up. Unanswered emails and comments just lay there staring at me. People just wanted some help and I was failing. Even though I directed readers to the very informative FAQ section about cloth, I was still getting hit up for info. So I decided the best way to solve this was to write a little more about it. And at the end of it all, go ahead and giveaway a whole bundle of the new Fuzzibunz One Size cloth diapers and make one family very happy.
So here we go...
Answers to questions in one giant messy ball of info.
Judging from the comments and emails I think many of you cloth virgins had the same initial worry that I had: "Don't all of those dirty diapers pile up and smell like... old rotten smelly poop and piss?" I mean who wants that in their house? But guess what?! We keep all of our filthy diapers hanging in a bag off our laundry room door, (seriously we do) and I have never caught a single whiff of anything that would curl these delicate nostrils. The Fuzzibunz bags keep it all sealed up tight and contained and we just never worry about it. When we get a dirty diaper we shake out the inserts into the bag, drop them in, and close it up. When we have enough for a wash. We wash. If we are out in public away from home and our magic bag for dirties, we just use the small travel version of the magic bag. It has honestly never been a problem. When the baby crap stops coming out like liquid and smelling like sugary breakfast cereal and the solids start, you just shake out the nasty bits into the toilet, and drop the diaper into the bag. Not a big deal. You are dealing with the same amount of poop no matter what you have on your child. It isn't like just because you have them in cloth somehow all of the sudden the crap multiplies and wants to get all over you and your house. It's the same amount.
The other big question was how often do we wash? We wash twice a day. Times vary depending on our work schedules. Both Cole and I have a different schedule every week, so we do not have a routine. We just make sure that we always have a stack of clean diapers and that means twice a day. On days when we are home long enough, and it's hot and sunny we put the diapers out in the sun to dry. If we have to run, we use the dryer. We have not noticed a huge spike in our power bill. Living in Florida the huge jump in cost comes every summer when the AC starts running around the clock. So there was no significant noticeable difference in our power bill when we started doing more washing. I am sure there was an increase but nothing that knocked us over like an August power bill in Florida.
Someone asked how long it took to get used to using cloth? It took like a week to get used to the routine of cloth, and then it's like nothing to it at all. It's just the way you diaper. They are easy to use. They grow with the baby. It is a simple system. At night we use the second insert they come with so the little Tangerine stays dry longer.
Now... I hate that I have to write a disclaimer before anyone gets all butt hurt and sensitive that read way into this post and thinks I am trying to say that if you aren't using cloth you're doing it wrong. Or if you use disposables you're the devil and don't really love your children. I am not making comparisons in that way, or saying that if you use disposables you're a ding dong or a planet murderer. So relax. I am just writing about our personal experience with cloth and that we love it, because people are interested in it. I am not a guy that would have ever imagined giving a shit about any of this until we started using cloth and then all of the sudden I felt the difference. It just feels better, it makes me jump higher, and run faster, food tastes delicious again, there is more money in my wallet, A cool breeze blows thru our house on hot summer days, and yes Tessa is the happiest baby in existence, there is no doubt in my mind of this. Has any of this helped? I hope so.
Now to the giving away part. Cole and I decided it would feel good to give away some Fuzzibunz to a new family that has been wanting to try cloth. So here is what you do to win:
* Put a link up on your blog to Fuzzibunz.com (it can be a link in your blogroll, a link in a post, an entire glorious post all about Fuzzibunz, that is all up to you). You don't have to have a huge enormous following to qualify. We are just interested in spreading the word and this is a great way to spread it. So don't worry about the size of your blog, or LJ, or Wordpress, or whatever it is you use.
* Once you have the link set up - leave a comment here on this post with a link back to you. This means you are now entered. Congratulations and good luck :)
* If you are selected by the random number generator, I will announce the winner on MONDAY September 14th I will check the winners blog for the Fuzzibunz link you were asked to provide, and if you have it, you win.
*The contest is open to U.S. and Canadian residents
*Please do not enter if you do not have a baby (a baby in the belly is totally acceptable) So expecting parents are eligible.
*Please do not enter if you do not have a child under the age of one. We want to hook up a family just starting out, and giving diapers to someone with a child almost out of diapers doesn't make sense to us.
Cole and I would really like these to go to a new family that have been wanting to try cloth. If you are just a random person that just stalks giveaways online, and do not keep an active blog to post a link back to Fuzzibunz, than this contest isn't for you. This is very much a contest for the blogging community interested in cloth diapering. I hope that's going to be okay for everyone. Sound good?
Good luck to everyone and I really hope these go to a good home.
All the Love in the Universe ~ Us
* NO MORE ENTRIES. THE WINNER WILL BE ANNOUNCED TODAY!!!

One quick question though: I'm guessing this is a US-only thingy? (totally understandable but I thought I better ask). xox
I had a question...
What if you have already tried cloth and love it, buuuuut have only been buying one cloth diaper at a time because you cant afford to buy more?
Can you still enter if your a cheap bastard like me?
I have one baby in le' oven and one 18 month old.
Annie
@ Annie- Why would that matter silly? Enter away.
Oh and @Sharnee- I totally forgot to even think about that! So thank you. But... I am going to keep this to the U.S. and Canada. Now I feel like a jerk
Embarrassed that I only have a livejournal to offer, but here ya go! http://isidorenabi.livejournal.com/
Sorry about that, I'm just going to re-comment and delete our initial post so as to not mess up the random number generator.
We would still love to be part of the contest :) Here is our blog:
http://www.yes-have-some.com/
and we've added Fuzzibunz to our favorites links section!
What if you don't have a blog? :( Does that count me out? We have a little guy whose just a couple weeks behind your sweet little Tangerine. I haven't dared the cloth yet, but I've been very intrigued. Thanks.
We've got a little one on the way (33 weeks in and counting!) and plan to cloth diaper as long as we can get together all the supplies we need on our limited budget. Who knew babies were so expensive? :(

Hey Ryan,
We have a mix of FuzziBunz one size, fitted, and BumGenius one size diapers, and we love them all for various different reasons.
I don't know if you care, but we bought a diaper sprayer that attaches to the toilet, and makes life even easier. I bought ours at diapersprayer.com... it was super easy to install and makes the cleanup a lot easier.

This is such an amazing idea. I am so impressed with Fuzzibunz as a company already, and I've never even used their product. We're expecting our first baby in January, and would *love* to cloth diaper. Winning this would be so helpful, financially, to enable us to do so. Great idea!
I've added a link at the top of my blogroll: http://tellinggetsold.wordpress.com/
i just left the link on my blog- so excited for a chance to try out these diapers! thanks for doing this!

I'm due in April 2010 and my husband and I are super excited to cloth diaper.
http://considerlizzy.wordpress.com/
I added the link to Fuzzi Bunz on my "inspiration" links page.
My cloth diapering days are done (well, diapering days period)... and, sadly (though understandably) I can't enter for a preggo friend ... but I'm still gonna post a FuzziBunz link on my blog!
This looks awesome! We're ready to make the switch to cloth when our new baby comes this spring.

I added the link to my blogroll.

Thank you so much for doing this. I would love to try out Fuzzibunz.
Just a suggestion....can we get more pics of LB and The Tangerine soon! These two a freakin adorable and I'm missing them!
(You and Cole and are great too ;)
So if we do not have a blog (but read your blog, have a 4 mo. old and really really want to try cloth diapers in fact planned on it but didn't have the chunk of change)we do not apply, correct?
Cherish
@ Anono- Well when you put it that way, I just sound like a horrible person all of the sudden.
This couldn't have came at a better time, with a new 2 week old & a 2YO still in diapers spending around $100 a month in disposable diapers doesn't make sense!! if you would have asked me a month ago cloth just wasn't for me, but as of three days ago I'm totally ready to go full force! THANK YOU!
My blog is private, I will put it there as well as my website.

This is a very generous giveaway that you've set up, thanks for the chance to enter!
I've (hopefully) set up all the links properly, so here you go;

This is awesome and will surely help a luckily family out!
I am due late October and have been drooling over Fuzzibunz for months. My husband and I want to cloth diaper, but it seems getting "set up" with a system costs more than our check to check budget can afford.
Put link on myspace because my blog is out of commission....

I have added the link to my blogroll and I am so grateful that my little Finn may have the opportunity to try these little fuzzybunz out on his little bunz!

hey! I am so excited about this contest!!! My husband and I have decided to go the FuzziBunz route because of your blog and can't wait to use them for our little one arriving in February!! Check out my blog www.thehornsbyherd.blogspot.com to see the post and link about FuzziBunz. Thanks again for doing this!
Glarg! I'm a reader of blogs not a blogger... so does this mean I'm screwed? Oh well, I respect the giveaway and hoped that somehow I'd win the diapers and could stop using the old fashioned flat cloth diapers we've been using on our baby. Oh how lovely and easy the Fuzzi Bunz look.
I am oh so ready to commit to the cloth diapering world. With a 15 month old and one on the way, I want our newborn to be in cloth from the start. We have been using environmentally sensitive diapers for Audrey, but the guilt has been building and I don't want go down that road again with the new baby.
What an amazing giveaway!
I have added FuzziBunz to my blogroll!
I would really love these for our first little one who is due to arrive March 12th!

I just wrote a post about cloth diapers - the first of three posts actually and I did link to fuzzibunz.com!

I am about to POP any day now with Baby #2 (known affectionately in our family as Nugget and/or Little Lady Fuller)! She will be a cloth sportin' babe! I'm having a diaper shower for her next month and am hoping to build up our cloth collection since we are currently at a count of ZERO. (Zero diapers and zero funds to start a whole collections ourselves...) This contest would be a great way to get us started!
Thank you SO much!
Keeping our fingers crossed,
The Fullers :-)

I was so excited to read your original post about cloth diapers, at that time, not knowing that I would need to be thinking about the cloth vs. disposable questions this soon. My husband and I recently found out that we're expecting our first in April 2010 and one of the first things I did was re-read your cloth diapering post and check out the FuzziBunz website. Unfortunately, this baby has appeared at a rather inopportune time (you can read more about our current situation on my blog - http://dlappiah.blogspot.com ), so while we definitely want to use cloth diapers, unless we're able to get in on a give-away like this, it'll be the cheaper and more inconvenient double folds and rubber pants for us.
i've been following your blog for months now. i enjoy everything about your posts, from topics to your style of writing. you piqued my interest when you first mentioned fuzzibunz, and though i don't have children of my own, i am 100% sold on the idea of cloth diapers, the benefits they have for our babies and the environment, and plan to give these a try if/when i'm blessed with my own. keep the posts coming and good luck to you and your beautiful family in all that you do.
Awesome contest, Ryan. You might remember me from my blog, adayinthegoodlife.blogspot.com. I've since started another journal type blog called, aDADinthegoodlife.blogspot.com where I've been writing about expecting our first child! thanks for all the inspiration. word up
I have a three week old daughter, and would love to go cloth, but we couldn't afford the upfront payout! Thank you for making this available!

I have a tumblr to offer!

I am so happy to hear that your house doesn't smell like crap. How many would you recommended getting? I have a 10 month old and I have no idea where to start..all I know is that I am tired of crapping on my money.
Thank you for the give away! I would love to win! Great post.

Yay hooray!! My husband and I would reallllyyyy love to win this! I am pregnant with our first little baby (a girl :) ) and she is due to grace us in December! Thank you for this chance! We would be ever so grateful. - Katie

This couldn't have come at a better time! We are almost 36 weeks, and "the nugget" will be joining us any day now. We'd love to try cloth.
Thanks to you and FuzziBunz for the giveaway!
http://gummynuggets.blogspot.com/
How is the cloth with a new born? Did the diaper adjust around the leg in such a way to keep the poops in?
We have been toying with the idea of switching to cloth for awhile now. Your information has been ubber encouraging to us. With twins though the initial investment seems like soooo much money, a free set would be fabulous! Thanks for running the contest.
I posted the link in my link section http://thecitycradle.com
i've been wanting to try for a while now.. with 2 kids in diapers.. i'm all about savin mula.
http://michelleandtucker.blogspot.com/
I really want to use cloth. My first baby is due in 4 weeks, and I still have ZERO diapers in my "stash" - Eek!
http://rosesownplace.blogspot.com/
I wrote a note with the link on my facebook and tagged a bunch of my mama friends. Hope this counts as I shut down my blog a few months ago. My page is private.

I have a 15 month old son and another baby due in January. My husband and I have been discussing the mass amount of trash that leaves our house everyday and how rediculous it is. Cloth diapering would definitely cut down on that amount!
http://mrssoup.wordpress.com/
My daughter is almost 8 months and we've been using prefolds and covers since birth, because it's the only thing we could afford. We would love to be able to use FBs though! Have always drooled over them.
Thanks for the great giveaway opportunity! It's such a testament (as the old church folks would say) to the quality of FuzziBunz that you guys want to share them with another family.
Really enjoying the blog, rants and all. :)
http://romama.blogspot.com
(It may be set to private...I'm not entirely sure. I'll put it on my facebook page as well!)
I use cloth on my 2 youngest (9mo, 2yo) and it would be a blessing to have more diapers!! I posted my link!! Thanks!

Really...Thank you for this.
I just wrote a post about wanting to use cloth diapers last night, and mentioned Fuzzi Bunz as being the top runner:
http://allisonthemeep.blogspot.com/2009/09/post-in-which-i-ramble-on-about.html
We're expecting our second one in February and I feel really strongly about using cloth diapers this time. It's the only way in which I didn't completely hippie myself out with our son. This time, full hippie.
Thanks for doing this giveaway. If I win, it will save our family a ton of cash.
http://www.facebook.com/groups.php?ref=sb#/group.php?gid=87309789865
I don't know if you need to actually see it but I'll open it up if you need me to. We can't wait to get our baby into some fuzzibunz!!!
We've got a little boy on the way (due in February) and just started a family blog to track my pregnancy and our little growing family.
I would LOVE to do cloth diapers and we definitely could use the help financially to get started! Thanks for doing this - love the blog. :)
http://thehansenbunch.wordpress.com
How generous of you guys.
The little lima bean within would dig getting set up with these! I would be over the moon.

I loved this article, although I have to go to school & I can't finish reading it because I put my every thought & fear & question into this. So I will HAVE to finish when I get home at 3:05.
:) I appreciate all you do...I really do.
Hi there! I have my second kiddo due in April 2010 and have thought about cloth diapering, but my less-than-enlightened-and-super-frugal husband would cringe at the thought. I figure if I won these, he'd be on board. We'll see!
I did a whole post about it since I am not as skilled with the technology of putting links into a sidebar.
www.notperfectbutbeautifullife.blogspot.com
Oh yes! My husband and I are expecting with our first pregnancy...twins! A boy and a girl. We couldn't be more thrilled, but financial fear is upon us and your post got me thinking about cloth! But starting out seemed overwhelming.
Thanks for this opportunity. It would help out so much!
Just wanted to say that I think this is such a great thing that you're doing! We are planning on using cloth and will probably try a few fuzzibunz just because of your rave reviews. We are already well-stocked in "standard" cloth diapers, so we'll leave the contest to new converts.
Hello! My husband and I are expecting our first child (a little girl!) in January and your posts on Fuzzibunz have really swayed us to go with cloth diapers.
I posted info on fuzzibunz on my baby product review blog here: http://thegagareport.tumblr.com/post/183782147/early-in-our-pregnancies-natasha-mentioned-her
and I also write about our own adventures in pregnancy here: www.dearbaby.tumblr.com
thanks so much :)

I love this giveaway idea, and I would love to start my baby on cloth diapers soon!
http://rickandemily.blogspot.com/
I have added the link at the bottom of my blogroll on the right hand side.
It's either win some free diapers or let the kid poop all over the house for us:
http://stillsustained.blogspot.com/
I love your blog. I am at about 29 weeks pregnant and my husband and I are going to go the cloth route. WE are starting with prefolds and covers but would love a set of fuzzibunz!
http://jasonleahrun.blogspot.com/2009/09/going-cloth-and-lucy-at-285-weeks.html
Because of your initial post I have decided to try cloth diapering our second baby. I even sent a link to my husband as I loved a guys perspective on it. We have a 4 yr old son and I am curently almost 17 weeks pregnant. I have added the link under my list of what I am dreaming about. :) Cloth diapers would be such a sweet dream come true. Thank you so much to you and Cole for this giveaway.
comment, take 3, sorry, im an idiot not trying to cheat: hopefully the number generator will reward us for this sad and true story. due to your original post, we decided to try out the cloth and bought a few fuzzis that VERY DAY for our little 2 month old's bunz. unfortunately we had to return them before ever trying them out. having those soft colorfuls in my grasp, so close to catching actual poop and then having to send them back was painful. so your post today is exciting for us. perhaps the universe will give us all its love for this sad and true story.
gimme.

OK I have one 18 month old and one in the oven and we use disposables, but I have been seriously looking into cloth this time around....and (insert your contest here) VOILA! Maybe this is my chance?
oops! here's my link lifemellingerstyle.blogspot.com
Cloth diapers are awesome. I have used fitteds and covers so far, but my kid is busting out of them and has lots of rash issues due to wetness - I am currently putting fleece liners in them and using disposables at night. I am searching the web like a mad women in hopes of finding the perfect diaper. I would love to try the fuzzi bunz! Here's my blog with the link in the right hand column - haven't posted in a few weeks... need to stop searching diapers and get on that :) Fun blog, by the way! http://chrisanddarcy.com/blog/
This is such a great idea...and opportunity! I am 36 weeks pregnant, and we would really like to use cloth and are just trying to figure out how to manage that in a teeny tiny Brooklyn, NY apartment without access to our own washer and dryer...that's the real trick!
And your blog + Fuzzibunz are both officially on my blogroll - http://www.brooklynbookbinder.com/blog/ - thanks for all the great writing and photos! Your writing's kept me awfully excited about our own little one who's about to be here!
I have a 3 month old son and we are ready to try cloth diapers simply because disposables are so friggin' expensive. Neither me nor my husband are working right now, and we're living on a tight budget. I would LOVE saving the money.
Here's my blog post:
http://thepottsfamilynews.blogspot.com/2009/09/cloth-diapers.html
So...the link is now listed on my side bar. Because our little Bun in the Oven is still a secret (and will remain so for some time yet), I can't really do the full blog post this product deserves - yet. But I'd love to win(duh)! And if I do, I guarantee there will be a full post!
What a great contest! We are due in February with our 1st babe! and have been "pinching our pennies" to save for the intitial start up of Fuzzibunz believe it or not! I found your blog about a month before I found out I was pregnant and it has become a must read ever since! This would be such a great thing to win! Thanks to you and Fuzzibunz for hooking up this contest for whoever wins! I included the link in my weekly letter to my growing babe that I have been writing on my blog, my own version (letter style) of the maternity series! Thanks!

And now it's up:

I'm almost 22 weeks along with our first.
REALLY want to try cloth! I hope I win! Besides...my 5 weeker would look so cute in them!

got my little link all set up! we just had our second child...a boy aug. 14th (with a head of hair that reminds me of your tessa's!)would love to make the switch over to cloth...your fuzzibunz post had me those gears turning already and i just love a good giveaway!

Wow, there are a lot of entries... I know my chances are slim, but here's my entry. And, so you know, I posted the link on my blog side bar, and wrote a post about my desires to switch to cloth.
i have a 2 mo old and 18 mo old with a tight budget! HOPE to win!

Oh man, I don't have a blog, anymore. I have an old Xanga thing, but I don't keep up with it anymore. I will post it there, and see what I can do. We just recently found out I was pregnant.. I am guessing I am early in my first trimester. This is our third, and we have been talking about trying cloth since we found out. I used disposables with my older two, and just wasn't impressed. At all. Here's to hoping.

I've been trying to figure out this cloth diapering scene for a month now! I am happy to do it, but there is the whole poop thing to get over... I'm over it now...
here we are!
http://vantiganloofarm.blogspot.com/
I added the link in a blog entry! I've been wanting to update anyway, and I'm pretty much decided on FuzziBunz, and I never would have bought one to try if it wasn't for your mentioning them. The only downside to cloth diapering (especially with the all in ones) is the initial outlay. :( I think we all want to help the environment and buy the best for our children, but pulling out a few hundred in one go is tough right now. *sigh*
used another type of cloth diapering system for our daughter.. and weren't that pleased with it...
can't wait to fuzzibunz with baby no.2 due in may!

oh...we've been contemplating cloth with our first (who's now 21 months), but haven't made the plunge and now we have our second on the way in 7 weeks - would love to get started on the right foot with a whole set of cloth diapers with our new one on the way!
http://thegassnerfamily.blogspot.com/search/label/cloth%20diapers
My fingers are crossed! So excited you guys are able to do this for a lucky family! Hopefully it's ours! Our little guy is a month old and I've been procrastinating making the transition as we've been getting used to parenthood.
His bum wants some Fuzzybunz!
http://smilingsharks.blogspot.com/
We're expecting our first babe in March and we've already been researching and exploring the cloth diaper options. Glad to hear that you love Funnibunz and look forward to trying them out! I added them to my blogroll: http://tillyandthebean.blogspot.com/
Thanks mucho!
I've got a 2-month-old who LOVES diaper changes!

I am so excited. I have a link in my side bar and will be posting about cloth diapering this week (if I can find a minute in between work and my 3 month old).
Your last post made me break out the two diapers I bought before my babe was born and I am trying to slowly increase my stash ever since, so this giveaway comes at a perfect time for me!
I love cloth diapering especially on my breastfed baby (no explosions!)
we're expecting lil' hendrix in LESS THAN A MONTH. i have been researching cloth diapers like mad, but haven't had the cheddar to get our stash started. PLEASE, RANDOM GENERATOR OF GOODNESS, pick us!

Im expecting in Feb. 2010, and knew from the minute I got pregnant I wanted to do cloth, question was.....what brand!!!! I did my research and I am confident Fuzzi Bunz will be great, and your FAQ's and experience has played a big part in the decision to stick to really using cloth
http://marandbean.blogspot.com/
I dont think I posted this is my recent comment!
This is such a great contest! I am really looking forward to trying cloth dipers with my little one (due in January!), it's way better for the environment and they look totally cute!
This is awesome, and you're awesome for doing it!
We are poor and expecting our first in November, and plan to use cloth diapers from the start. I love the fact that the FuzziBunz one size diapers will last for years -- I'm really big on stuff that lasts and creates as little waste as possible.
I added a link to the "Etc." section of my sidebar: http://www.hitbyapitch.com.
I forgot to leave my link!

You guys are amazing for doing this... You've single handedly diminished my fear of cloth diapers and getting all my clothes covered in baby poo. Hopefully Tumblr counts: http://babykeaton.tumblr.com/post/183967384/cloth-diapers-doesnt-mean-poo-covered-clothes-for-me
Diapers are so bad for our earth... i would love to try out the cloth ones for my first baby!
i think i did it right :)

please pick me!!!
I'm here to throw a variable in the generator....
"It isn't like just because you have them in cloth somehow all of the sudden the crap multiplies and wants to get all over you and your house. It's the same amount."
This is what cracked me up because when I read it - BINGO! - that's how I've been subconsciously feeling all along.
But - are you telling me you actually get poop in your washer??
EW!
In my excitement I didn't actually include a link (though you can get to my blog through my comment).

Oh goodness gracious, sweet baby Jesus let me win. :)
We've been going back and forth between making the investment in diapers or starting out with a cloth diaper service that delivers and washes diapers (which really, how easy is that?!) I do have a couple FuzziBuns on my registry to try them out to see but I'd LOVE to win some, what a relief that would be?
Baby shit's 'spensive, yo!
may the random selection gods be upon and me and help us make the plunge to cloth diapers for our 3 month old boy.

I added fuzzi Bunz to my links page
We are expecting baby #5 and I have desperately wanted to try cloth but been afraid to invest, wondering if I could keep up with the laundry. Cloth diapering falls in line with our general lifestyle (baby wearing, composting, backyard chicken raising, doing what we can to be green). A few months ago I was super excited to win 3 Fuzzi Bunz but quickly discovered that 3 diapers is not really enough to give cloth diapering an honest go. I ended up gifting the 3 diapers to a friend who was cloth diapering but did not have enough in her stash either.
I would LOVE to put the new baby (coming in the next 6-8 weeks most likely) into cloth. I have 2 others in diapers and 3 in diapers is terrifying to say out loud!
Now brace yourself here, we actually plan on having more kids so if we can make this new fangled cloth thing work for us, the diapers will be used by subsequent children (yes this is #5 and we still want more... no I'm not insane, really.. well not clinically at least).
thanks for the chance!

I dont have a blog anymore, but I do have a Shutterfly account where I share my pictures. I put it in my favorite links. I also put it on my facebook page. I have a two year old and I am 31 weeks pregnant with #2. http://ryantamihailey.shutterfly.com/
I'd love to win these - my sister uses cloth diapers and loves them. She says it's a big money saver too...
I posted my link on my blog:

Thanks for the chance to win!

LOVE your blog!
Have been e=reading since week 24 I think....
Fuzzibuns are the best..both of my nieces used them...
http://www.blogger.com/profile/18444853102976196328
I am inspired to try FuzziBuns, but don't feel like we can afford the upfront cost. Also, what if cloth isn't for us (cringe! I doubt it, but people have told me cloth just didn't work for them even though they wanted them to work)? For now we plan to use a diaper service for one month and take it from there. I would absolutely LOVE to win this give-away.
You're doing great things Ryan! I am so happy for you, Cole and the whole gang.

I actually clapped gleefully when I saw that you'd updated about the diaper situation. And how awesome are you two, giving stuff away? Thanks for the shot at free diapers. I'm 28.5 weeks along, and have been researching the cloth situation for a while. But I have to stop typing now, so I can cross my fingers.

Thanks so much!
Want to try cloth, but haven't convinced hubby of benefits yet. :)
I recently came accross your blog and have been reading along. I thought I would leave my first comment. I dont know what to say except that I have enjoyed reading. Nice blog. I will keep visiting this blog very often.

Wahoo! This is fantastic. We're expecting our first bebeh in March 2010 and would freak if we were graced with Fuzzibunz.
I've added a link in the sidebar!

Best!
Thanks so much for setting up this contest! And it's soo nice to hear that it's open to us readers north of the border as well! Consider me entered!
I just wrote a whole post on diapers! It was something I was planning to do anyway, but I pushed up the timing so that I could get in on the fun here.
http://katesmakinbabies.blogspot.com/2009/09/diaper-dilemma.html
Thanks for the update on the diapers and extra thanks to you and Cole for this great idea. I have to say, you two have totally changed my view on diapers. Hub and I are expecting our first baby in late November, and I hope to give Fuzzi Bunz a go when the time comes. Thank you for the introduction and for continuing to share your experiences!
My younger daughter just turned one and I have been dying to go cloth but my hubs just starts twitching whenever I mention the initial start up cost. Could be my inability to find a teaching job in suck ass NJ. It's cool if you think my kid is too old for the giveaway but I'm gonna give it a whirl anyway. Thanks! http://whatsonmommysmind.blogspot.com/2009/09/chance-to-go-cloth.html
Very nice. I used cloth with all 4 of mine, because initially we were too poor to afford disposables (I used the rectangle white ones that you have to fold), and even when we could afford disposables, I liked the idea of no diaper rash, and grooved on the Earth Mother bit. I wish we had the fuzziebuns ones, but this was 20 years ago, and absolutely NO ONE used cloth. I think your contest thing is splendid. It would be good for people to know that if they can't afford the fancy snappy cloth diapers, that the old-timey rectangle cloth ones still work, if you can find them. A dozen costs about the same as a pack of disposables, and I recommend 18-24 of them, in case the kid gets a case of the poops.
This is an awesome idea- THANK YOU!
The hubz and I are now strongly considering cloth diapers thanks to your earlier post and am looking forward to trying them out on our first baby who is still cooking until Feb.
yanabanova.blogspot.com is my blog Heart Go Boom Boom.
Thanks for this chance!
(ps- i adore your maternity series. i'm sure you hear it all the time, but BRAVO.
We just had twin boys and have been thinking about trying cloth if we can swing the up-front cost... disposable diapers x2 seems slightly insane!

I WANT TO WIN! we have a baby on the way in 6 weeks and it's our first. i've been really into researching the ins and outs of cloth diapering. PLEASE PICK ME RANDOM NUMBER GENERATOR!

We love buns and babies! Would love to try these out on our sweet little man. Thanks for the giveaway. We love your blog! http://matalietroyer.blogspot.com/

AUGH oh please. I'm crossing my fingers. Thanks for the opportunity!!!
Cheers, Angie.
We just brought home our 5 month old twins from Ethiopia. And as SOON as they get rid of the little souviners they have growing in their poo we are switching to cloth (I'm Green but I'm also a realist...giardia is NOT the time to be all eco-friendly). I have been researching which cloth diaper to use so to win this would be great! (not to mention I have TWO bums to cover!) Count me in!

Hello! I'd love to win! My baby Leo is due Nov. 19th. Thanks for the opp.!
My husband and I decided a couple of months ago that we would go the cloth diaper route with our first (due in about 2 months!)...now that the time is getting closer for our little one to arrive, we have to make it a reality and BUY them! Yikes!...but totally worth it! :)
Thanks for a chance to win these great diapers that I have heard so many good things about!
I set up a link on the sidebar of my blog (http://cbraden7.blogspot.com/).
Our baby is coming in April and we're not even sure where to start with cloth diapering (although we would like to give it a try!) Winning this giveaway might just be the push we need in either direction.
http://jnicholea.blogspot.com/2009/09/fuzzibunz.html
I'm expecting triplets this winter and would really like to use cloth. I wrote all about it here:
http://whereforandwhy.blogspot.com/2009/09/my-crunchy-granola-side.html
I have a little one in the oven, I am 29 weeks along and been thinking about cloth diapers to help out with the cost of having a baby in this harsh economy.

I put a letter together that would be sent with our baby shower invites explaining all the positives of cloth diapering. You should read it and let me know what you think... I feel I covered all the bases. I hope that at our baby shower we end up with cloth diapers and not cutesy clothes with lame giraffes on them. At Brooklyn's baby shower I asked for Fuzzi Bunz diapers only.. nothing else.. and the only person to buy me any was Cole. This is an excellent contest for you to offer to newbies to cloth diapering... I hope who ever gets them not only appreciates them but uses them well and passes them on to another family when they are through...
Take Care Ryan!!
PS I like that another commenter left you a comment to Brian & Cole... :)
would love to try the fuzzibunz for my little ella j!
added a link to my blog at:

thanks!

My link is up. Hope I win!
I debated entering this contest, since I was planning on doing FuzziBunz when we finally found out we were pregnant, but....as luck would have it I posted a blog about this earlier this week, and we got a positive test this morning!! My husband is convinced it's triplets but I think he's just wanting to get slapped. :-)
At any rate, hope you enjoy and whoever wins this is in for a real treat. I'll be working on the "We're Knocked Up!!" post briefly.

PS - I thought it was really cute when I started reading your blog and you had a lil boy that you called "LB". We call our son that too, since both his and Daddy's name start with a "B", there's Big B and Lil B - LB. :-)

Only because I stare at the daisy print fuzzi bunz diaper like, 40 times a day.
You guys rock, what an awesome giveaway.
My blog is private, but I have for sure added it to my blogroll.
I have not shut up about these fuzzibunz since seeing your first post. We've got a newbie {she's two weeks and five days} who really would L.O.V.E some fuzzibunz!
http://www.imagechicken.com/uploads/1252636199062561300.jpg
great post! i wanted to leave a few questions after you first introduced that you and cole were using fuzzibunz wayyyy back when but figured i might as well ask fuzzibunz themselves! either way, it's great that you're giving away fuzzibunz (as expected parents to be we've decided to go down the reuseable cloth route b/c of your posts!! :))
i haven't any followers on my blog b/c it's a bunch of random personal thoughts for our little one when she gets older but i'm going to post fuzzibunz anyways since i should post our thoughts about cloth diapers so she can read why later on. :) beforewemetyou.blogspot.com
happy day to the family and yes, pls post more photos of tangerine and lb when you have time!
http://cashmaxwell.blogspot.com/
my bebe is due TODAY and i would love love love to win (if not, giving birth would also make me happy)
Thanks for the post! I actually made my own cloth diaper post a few days ago. Some people give us the side eye for considering cloth, but I'm determined to at least give it a shot.
My husband and I are expecting our first in March. :)
Hi there, we added a link to our sidebar and can't wait to try them! We have one toddler and another one the way, we love to try cloth this time round.

Ah, the complex world of cloth. We're starting #2 in cloth earlier this time, and would love to throw some FB's into the mix. I blogged and blogrolled for fuzzibunz:
http://junebugworld.blogspot.com/
Thanks!
my first baby is due in a month so I've been loving reading your posts and seeing the pictures ("wow my belly is going to be that big at 34 weeks?"-and it was) I've been researching cloth diapers for a little while and I wanted to mention an option my cuz showed me for all those people who aren't going to win free diapers. You can try out a bunch of different cloth diapers (cuz there's a bunch) for 3 weeks for $10 to see what you like: http://jilliansdrawers.com/products/clothdiapers/tryclothfor10/tryclothfor10
I thought that was a good idea. ok, thanks again for the good reads!
With a tight budget, I only have two BumGenius all in ones. I love them. I would love to have the opportunity to exclusivly use cloth & to try FuzziBunz. Thanks for this chance.

I have two blogs so I didn't know which would be more appropriate. I have a little one on the way and regardless of all the hurdles, it just seems to work out no matter how impossible the situation seems. I think this is a great contest and I can't wait to find out who wins!
We have two children -- 1 year old daughter and a brand new little boy (3 weeks)! We currently use prefolds and covers (due to cost)and it would be *amazing* to be able to put both of them in the same diaper when we go out of the house. I swear my diaper bag is the size of Texas to accommodate 2 different sized prefolds, multiple covers and all the other paraphernalia a person hauls around with 2 under 2.
I added the fuzzibunz link to my blog roll under "fantasy shopping".
http://prenticefamily.wordpress.com/
It would be so great to get some FuzziBunz for my pregnant little sister. She's going to be a single mom, and wants to try cloth with her baby. If she doesn't end up loving it, I'll use them someday! (I put up a blog post all about it)
Thanks for the fun give-away. We are expecting our first child ... yesterday. So we could use them soon! Check out my blog.
I'm setting up the link in my sidebar right now! Here's to fingers crossed; what a great giveaway =) Thanks!
You've had me intrigued by the whole cloth diaper thing before I was pregnant, but now that we've begun telling everyone, I'm really excited about this giveaway and cloth diapers. They seem like the way to go!
www.fourfourohnine.blogspot.com
Okay, that took much longer than I thought it would, but my link is on the left sidebar under "Diaper Tally." We're cloth diapering too and the diaper tally is what we use to keep track of how many total changes she goes through =)
Fantastic giveaway idea. I have a five day old son and another son who is two and still in diapers. I would love to try out the Fuzi Bunz diapers - I have only heard great things about them.
I've included a Fuzi Bunz link (your blog was already there) on my blogroll.

And since this is my first time commenting, I want to let you know how much I have enjoyed your blog. I appreciate your candid writing and of course the amazing photos don't hurt...

We would love to be the receivers of some Fuzzi Bunz cloth diapers!
It is under "blogs I follow."
I'm due March 1st and am still trying to figure out what kind of cloth diapers we want to use, so thanks for the great post and giveaway! (I blogged it here:http://hannaslifeiscool.blogspot.com/)
Hello! We have a little one on the way in November and we are very interested in using cloth diapers! Thank-you for your feedback on cloth and giving us newbies this opportunity. My blog is http://simplymarried.blogspot.com . The link is under window shopping.
Oh, please let it be me, oh please! I posted it.
Our first daughter was in cloth diapers for one year. We used baby diaper service. After that we couldn't afford to keep up with it so I switched to as "green" disposables as I could (7th generation). Now with our second, 7 weeks old I'd love to try again. I also think that if I put the 2 y.o. in the cloth she'd be a lot more ready to potty train. The blog is private but I put a link up and can send you an invite.

Hey, love the blog. The wife is 8 months and ready to pop. So the idea of free shit is pretty appealing. Especially is said 'shit' is as cool as FuzziBunz shit.
We're having a little girl, Adelaide, and doing cloth diapers.
My blog is www.inthewaitingroom.com
and I promote the awesomeness of fuzzibunz in this blog: http://inthewaitingroom.ning.com/profiles/blogs/vitals-facts-about-the-1

Great idea. We are expecting pikachu #1 march 3 2010. We have no idea what to do about the diaper thing. I read all about the Fuzzi Bunz (and found a dealer up here in Toronto) after reading about them here.
I hope rand() works in our favor.
Here is my wifes blog, with fuzzbunz in the side links.
