3 Minutes of Tummy Time

I recently had a friend in town armed with a video camera for a job we were doing together this past weekend-- and so while he was here and had a chance to meet the family, Cole and I asked him to pretty please make a quick video so we could remember Tessa at this wiggly age. She is almost 4 months and has been teething and drooling and being all around adorable. Tessa was sure to let all of us know when she was sick of being filmed with her signature scream/cry. Notice the subtle differences in how Cole and I approach the constant drooling going on. Cole takes more of a hands on approach than I do. So yeah here is 3 minutes of Tummy Time and to make it even sweeter I was given the go ahead by our friends Rabbit to use an unreleased song that will be coming out on their new album "Connect The Dots." We have been playing their new album to The Tangerine for the last few weeks in the car and it has kept her from having any "I'm trapped in a car in my stupid car seat" freak outs.

Oh man, I love that cry at the end. The-world's-falling-apart kinda cry.

Those pictures are ridiculous! Start having more babies!!

(Totally joking. Kinda.)

wordnerd October 27, 2009 2:04 PM

OMG the last part with you shielding your face made me LAUGH...how many things have I DONE at the expense of a good picture...or (even better) a good laugh.

She is adorable....loved the video...loved the song...loved it all.

Cate Subrosa October 27, 2009 2:07 PM

Aww! So gorgeous, Tessa totally just made my milk come in, ha ha.

I am a little jealous that she has kept her thick back hair. My daughter was born with hair just like that but hers is falling out now :(

Great song. I'm tapping my toes right now.

She will LOVE this when she's older. Awesome camera work. And I can't get enough of the song. And baby.

i just played this little video to my baby and she loved it :) beautiful xx

Mommy Melee October 27, 2009 3:11 PM

My sons both had hair like hers. Except as boys they just looked like girls. Your daughter just looks BEAUTIFUL.

Zoe October 27, 2009 3:15 PM

Loving the song. Tessa is so sweet! And such patience - my kids never lasted that long on their tummies at that age. I loved how she kind of dissed the stuffed animals, but had a big grin for the cool robot. She still looks a lot like you, but I totally see Cole's mom in her too.

Joanie M October 27, 2009 3:21 PM

Love the video!

Yeah, they always let you know when enough is enough!

How is LB handling being a big brother?

Janet October 27, 2009 4:04 PM

Mrs. K October 27, 2009 7:15 PM

OH my GOD I LOVE her!! how flipping adorable is she? SHe's all sorts of dying to crawl! Julianna crawled at around that same age months- being raised in a hispanic home, tummy time=all the time. She hates (even now) to sleep on her back- she's forever on her tummy.

Not The Rockefellers October 27, 2009 7:35 PM

I can't believe how big she is getting...4 months! Wow...time is flying

Rabbit's song was perfect for this!

Hope you all are doing well.

Peace~Rene

Sabrina October 27, 2009 7:50 PM

Melt. Swoon. Die. Repeat.

Quicas October 27, 2009 8:19 PM

Hello.
Tessa is so cute, and already holds her head for a while.

By the way, could you tell me what is the name of the song in the video?

Thanks

The Panic Room October 27, 2009 8:23 PM

@ Quicas- Sure thing. It is called "Now That I Found You" by the band "Rabbit"

I am not sure when the album comes out. Soon. I think :)

Drea October 27, 2009 8:50 PM

She has very beautiful eyes! And the quality of that video is amazing.

Keeper of the Skies Wife October 27, 2009 8:55 PM

Strong little girl! Just precious...love the music with the video.

Nicole October 27, 2009 9:16 PM

OOHH NOW YOU YOU DID IT! You do know that you're going to have to keep posting videos dont you?

How flippin cute is she?!! I mis those baby rolls and dimples in their hands. I even miss the drool.

I love how Cole just uses her hand and I'm sure she just wiped it on her pants and kept going like it was nothing! LOL. Yup a total mom thing to do :)

Pop and Ice October 27, 2009 9:18 PM

My goodness, get that girl something to chew on, besides her hand! And the way she's rocking around it looks like crawling is next on her list. Hope you're ready!

Sarcastica October 27, 2009 10:20 PM

Awh she is too perfect!

Anonymous October 27, 2009 10:35 PM

Lea October 27, 2009 10:49 PM

aw, at the end, you both make the same sad face. :( but :)

Marquesa Jen October 28, 2009 12:46 AM

Haha, wiggley! You should make her some terry cloth arm guards so you don't have to wipe her so much. She'd look silly, but hey, necessity is the mother of invention.

Beth October 28, 2009 1:01 AM

I seriously just want to reach through the screen and pinch her chubby legs. Adorable! The song fits this very well :)

Beth October 28, 2009 1:05 AM

Also I forgot to say, totally digging the Donald Trump hairstyle in the pictures, haha!

ess.jay October 28, 2009 2:07 AM

She is so strong and so beautiful! And it was so cool to see her in action. And when you like, tried to hide your laugh, PRICELESS. I do that with babies all the time, lol.

Christine Gram October 28, 2009 4:04 AM

Really wonderful video and the perfect song to go with it. I bet the shifting family dynamics is hard work but looks like she makes it worth your while. She's a keeper.

Brooke October 29, 2009 3:33 PM

Been reading for awhile, loving your gorgeous family through pregnancy and beyond! Tessa's name rocks. But what finally made me leave something on the graffiti wall is this: when 3 minutes of someone else's kid doing tummy time is that adorable, you deserve big props! Tessa couldn't be more gorgeous - edible even. Thanks for sharing. And the song makes me want the whole album. Please let your friends know.

Angie. October 29, 2009 4:14 PM

She is so cute! I almost feel bad that I laugh when she started to cry in that video, but it was so cute!

leel October 29, 2009 5:36 PM

yay! and the tangerine moves... to cool music, no less! and you are cole are actual moving people!?! weird! i found myself LOVING the song really quickly... not something I often do during a first listen. Must explore them! I've noticed the button on your blog before, and now I have a reason to go click it!

thanks for sharing. i've missed your updates! does that make me pathetic, or you guys awesome? I think it makes us ALL awesome. Clearly.

Kim Hosey October 29, 2009 6:04 PM

Ditto what everyone said. She's beyond precious and adorable, and wonderful pictures and video.

Amber Rae Paulson October 30, 2009 8:47 PM

That is your clone, but female. BTW, who are the female vocals on that track? I love it, so pure and clean.

Catherine November 1, 2009 9:17 PM

OMG, you have the CUTEST kids! Tessa is so chubby, and happy, and I just want to squeeze her. Love the cameo shot of dad at the end ;0)

That Rabbit song might be my new all time favorite, too!

Amy@Bitchin'WivesClub November 2, 2009 5:33 AM

I love that you not only wipe her mouth with the cloth, you go the extra mile and try and soak up the drool on the carpet.

Dads: Take note: Ryan is making you all look bad.

Regan November 3, 2009 10:17 PM

oh my god she is beautiful!

Anonymous November 4, 2009 12:59 AM

the single most cutest thing I've seen- drool and all!
