Twooth

All week I have been sneaking around trying to get a picture of Tessa's two little baby teeth. I tried to get it while she was watching Yo Gabba Gabba and having herself a hysterical laughing fit, but she was rocking up and down in her chair, and my camera was wide open so she kept going fuzzy. All the while those two little teeth were poking out. I am going to try again today. Her mama wants a picture of those teeth and I am determined to get it.

I keep hearing about this Yo Gabba Gabba thing and I kind of feel like I need to see it, but at the same time I'm a bit scared to.

But anyway, baby teeeeth! Get that girl a steak!

Baby teeth! Just make sure she doesn't knock them out like my brother and I did!

Owen has five, noIamnotjokingfive, teeth and another coming in and I have been trying my damnedest somehow to get pics of these. Eva was an early teether too, by this point, she had about the same amount but I never got any pictures, boo!

So I chase Owen around like a ninny, with both the camera and the video camera trying to GET SOMETHING. I think I'm beginning to really annoy everyone else in the house. I don't care.

So cute!!! I love her teeth! Oh and the picture of her pout? That.Was.Hilarious.

Awe she's an angel! I loved when my girls' first tiny winnie teeth were coming in - I used to gazed in their mouth every single day. So cute and precious - btw, they love Yo Gaba Gaba too!!

There's no light like sunlight. I feel your pain. My boys toofies were so difficult to shoot also. It was either grainy or blury. So I took him outside where there's real light, and got the money shot. And I can't seem to get enough even with my large lamps for random posed baby pics, so I have been taking everything on the porch in the bright shade, and it works great.

How cute!!! I love that you got a big gummy smile AND 2 tiny teeth all in the same shot!

On a side note....remember your rant about the lady in the store who was baggin' on Yo Gabba Gabba? I admit to thinking "this show is CRAZY" at first. But, after you so heartily defended the it, I gave it another try and it's now one of our favorites. At least once a day, I can be found singing, "there's a party in my tummy!"

Nothing is cuter than when babies get their first teeth and when kids lose their first teeth. Love it!

Oh cuteness! Glad you finally got the shot. She is gorgeous, and look at that laugh! :)

TEEFERS!

It took me nearly a month to get a good photo of Charlotte's first two milk teeth. So here's hoping it takes you, like, a fraction of that. Because now that I finally have a good picture of just those bottom two teeth, my baby has popped the top two as well.

What sort of cruel world is this?

oh, what a precious photo! her grin is just so beautiful! i'm sure that grin is going to be very 'toothy' in no time!

keep the gorgeous photos coming!

ps. on a totally different note, i'm looking at upgrading my camera (currently a nikon d60). so basically i'm looking at either the d300s or the canon 7D. i'm not sure if i'm ready to jump on the canon bandwagon! i know that you debated about giving up the nikon to go to the canon, so i was wondering if you could share your thoughts with me :) i'm not sure about in america but in australia the nikon is slightly more expensive, i have enough saved for either so money isn't the problem.

i understand if you're too busy to reply in detail :)

@hannah-In my opinion I think that nobody makes better lenses than Nikon, so if you are not that interested in the superior video quality that Canon offers in their 7D you should stick with Nikon.

BUT. If I could start over I would be focused on getting a full frame SLR to support my love of wide angle and portrait lenses. Something to think about.

Good luck :) Either way they are both great cameras that will deliver stunning results.

@ Sara- don't kill your mom :) there was no email address on your profile soooo. why not just email me through mine. that would be cool to hear from you. take care and see how I could help

Adorable. Babies get ten thousand times cuter with those two little teeth.

Keith Wilcox March 25, 2010 10:51 PM

so nice to capture those historical moments :-) My youngest son was born with his two bottom teeth so that was a really cute sight. Some day I'll post it up.

hannah. March 26, 2010 8:17 AM

thanks so much! at the moment i'm leaning towards sticking to nikon :)

Kim Hosey March 27, 2010 6:46 PM

I like the shot! So adorable. I wish I was more into photography when my son was that young.

Seeing the first teeth come through is SOOOOOO exciting. It means your baby is growing up!

Lindsey Petersen

PS I think the 2nd most exciting moment is when they take those first little steps by themselves!

There is nothing cuter than the smiles with the first couple of teeth.
