Crawl Face
As Tessa keeps standing more and more, it occurred to me that I was going to miss watching her crawl, the biggest reason being is that she has a this hilarious crawl face that she makes when she really kicks in and gets her speed going. She digs down deep and snarls, and then BOOM! Speed burst and she gets moving quick. As she graces into her pace her face quickly returns back to its normal angelic adorable self, and she smiles as she scoots from one room to the next until she needs a little more speed. The crawl face I am sure will emerge again, if she ends up being a runner, everyone will know when she is about to take off. It will be a tell to all competitors: "Look at her face! She is totally going to sprint away." If she plays baseball it will be her homerun face. Either way... this little girl has some serious speed. She is racing through this first year and as Cole and I went through these string of pictures, she sunk her head into my shoulder and pouted, realizing the face she was looking at was growing up fast. Cole said: "Oh no, where is my baby? she already looks like a little girl!"

I have a daughter nearly the exact same age and I sit around staring at the pictures you take of Tessa thinking "How does he get her to not eat the camera, I don't understand!" But now I can see that she actually does want it. I feel better. Crawl face is awesome.
I know what you mean...my daughter is 3 and it has all gone too fast....what a cute crawl face...definately a runner there!

that 11 month comes way too fast and is way too close to the 1 year mark.
she does look like a little girl instead of a baby all the sudden! she's beautiful :O)

I glanced at the photos before I began reading and that's exactly what I thought: Wow, she looks like a little girl! I've seen similiar looks of concentration watching children who are learning to read and write...it's very awesome. Thank you for sharing. -KB

when we grow up, we aren't allowed to show our "crawl faces" so much, are we? we aren't supposed to telegraph our intentions and our thoughts on a subject.....hope she ALWAYS has a crawl face in reserve :-) unless she decides to be a professional poker player, of course...
As someone needing to replace my flooring in my house, I quickly noticed your's. Is that treated and scored concrete? Do you mind sharing exactly what it is and would you recommend it? :-)
