Walked to 40 Weeks
Well...
She hit the magic number. 40, and as an aside and a complete bazaar coincidence this is post number 400 for me. Well timed. As Spock would say: "Curious."
She did it. With no issue, I grilled Trish for info on the drive over to the walk street: "anything weird happen? Bad? Scary? Close calls? Strange? Nothing?! So this is what people refer to as an uneventful pregnancy?"
She just smiled, and calmly said: "I guess so."
She did great, she ate amazing healthy delicious food, she kept up with her yoga routines, she stayed active, she read everything she could get her hands, she has surrounded herself with experienced thoughtful care givers, she has everything organized and ready, and the amazing thing about all of this to me, is that there isn't anything people can do that will prepare them for the emotions that come when they see that little baby human squirming around and making noise all dripping gross with inside goo and wrinkled. I know that Peter and Trish are ready, but I'm excited to hear their stories about all the things that you can't get ready for. The story of falling in love and meeting Leo.
She looked smaller this week, and she was, the baby had shifted and dropped a little, and made a big difference in how her belly was shaped. Leo is getting ready for his face to face meeting with his Mama.

When I was looking through this last batch of photos to pick my favorite shot, I noticed Trish held the same intense focused expression in almost every shot. It was like a boxing poster, prize fighter standing there, well trained, top fit, totally ready intensity, it was cool. I did get her laughing and loosened up by the end of the shoot, but noticing this look popping up repeatedly I didn't want to mask her focus with a smile. This is where she was at 40 weeks. Ready to rumble :)
I know some people have had trouble looking at the notes for some reason, some scrolling issues, the problem is just the limitations of blogger, and putting in a slider like this and having it work perfectly for every browser and every machine is just beyond my comprehension. I apologize for the glitches. I'm taking all the blame. Let it rain.
Good luck Trish, Peter, and little Leo

Dear Trish, Peter and baby Leo
Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful event in your lives. And of course thank you to Ryan for the wonderful pictures to capture it all. I cannot believe we are at week 40 already! It seems like no time since you were stood in that gorgeous cream dress with the red design on it which i love.
I wish you all a safe and wonderful time as baby Leo arrives in your world.
Hopefully we'll get a peek at him when he's here?
very best wishes

@ Ange- Well that was awesome and sweet, I am sure they will love to come here and read this note from you. Thanks for leaving that for them.
I've really enjoyed this series. Good luck Trish and Peter!
Wow, 40 weeks already! Just like Cole, Trish has looked beautiful and radiant in every picture. I am so happy for Trish and Pete as they get ready to greet the newest member of their family. It has been a joy to watch her belly grow. I only hope my Walk to 40 Weeks goes as quick (I'm almost at 24 weeks so I'm getting there). Wishing all the best to Trish and Pete. Can't wait to hear all about baby Leo.
ps Ryan - are you going to try and post another maternity series? These have been so much fun.
I am so happy for this wonderful couple! They have walked this journey with such grace and beauty. No doubt they will make natural parents. Ryan, awesome job. Seriously! This theme/style of yours is really amazing. I just love keeping up with your work and The Walk. Be well.
I'm not sure if I'm going to do another series here, I would like to. Should I?
Yes, you should do another series. You should always do them.
Please....I beg you to keep going and do another series. If you're looking for a new idea, what about photographing a newborn baby and following it all the way to it's first birthday (once a week or every 2 weeks?).
I have a new idea, I might even have a new subject. All of this just depends on timing.
wow--awesome series and what a gorgeous pregnancy!!
best wishes to Trish & Peter for a smooth Leo birth!
(are you shooting the birth too?)
I feel a little silly asking this: who makes the sandals she's wearing this week? I love them! I want a pair!
*Love the series too Ryan. ;)
A few years back I used to joke that if I ever got preggers I would take photos throughout wearing the exact same outfit to see how ridiculous it would begin to look over time with the growing belly. Though that might be a bit embarrassing/uncomfortable for some...
Anyway, this was a fun series to follow along with! Great thing for them to have.
Very curious indeed. Congratulations on 400 posts and 40 weeks. Cannot wait to see the result of the amazing walk.
I caught onto your blog around the time the Trish series began and I really love it. You've done such a beautiful job showing us who you are and giving us a glimpse into Trish's experience. I really hope you continue with another series.. this has been so inspiring, beautiful and fun! Thank you and best wishes to Trish, Pete & Leo!
I certainly hope there will be baby photos once little Leo is born! What a fantastic series! If I lived near you and was pregnant, I'd have you do the walk for me as well. Fantastic, Ryan!
Yaay,another walk finished!
What you'll do now? Another future mom?

It seems like just last week Trish made her first appearance in the Walk. I have enjoyed following this series and hope you do continue it (as well as all of the great things in between).
KC
Good luck to Trish, Peter, and Leo. We're all cheering for them in the final act.
I can't wait to see what you start working on next, Ryan. It has been a pleasure checking your blog everyday and I plan to check it on our honeymoon when we're avoiding the mid day sun!
Rock on!
will you be shooting the birth or just after? I hope so! I can't wait to see this bubba!
Well...
Can't wait to see your next work!
You'll photography another future mommy?
you're all most there... how exciting! I had a funny convo with Peter the other day (Trish, you gotta ask him)... Little Leo is almost here :)
Another awesome series! Thanks for doing it and sharing with us!
Good luck Trish, Peter and Leo. It was a pleasure sharing along in this walk with you. You are about to embark on a grand adventure and we're all so happy for you.
Well done Ryan!
i got tingles reading her last entry to leo. being excited for strangers is weird, but wonderful!
the pictures are so fantastic. another great pregnancy project. if it's not a huge pain, it'd be really cool to see the 'walk' without the notes in between.
i love that series so much. nice work. i'm getting sentimental and i don't even know her!
I am welling up with tears at the last note. The final sentence "We are ready." Congrats to mama & daddy. You did it. You made it. Good luck and all the best as you bring Baby Leo into the world. What a beautiful series, Ryan. Please do another one sometime soon. I will get pregnant and move to Florida, if I have to! Ha.
Love love love that 16 week photo. So cute!!
The entire series was impeccable. Trish is one of my best friends and this has been such an exciting and beautiful addition to her experience. I am beside myself with excitement to meet Leo. I can't imagine how they must feel.
Trish, Peter, Leo...I love you.
Ryan, you are brilliant.
Thanks for this. <3
Just curious has she had the baby yet??? :-)
Any chance you could update us when Trish has her baby???
That series was so much fun! Do another one!!!
I promise as soon as I get the word, I will update about Trish and little Leo.
I have followed this series with a lot of interest since my due date was very close to Trish... It was funny to see her belly grow graciously as mine was monstrously bigger; my twins were born at 36 weeks :)
