Blame it On Swimming Pools & Berries

**The photos of the kids in the garden were taken at my mother and father's place. They had blueberries, blackberries, strawberries, and some grapes blooming and delicious in their garden.

Beautiful photos, they truly tell the story of your summer so far. Your children are lucky and will remember these special times. :)

SUMMER! Love the photos.

Now that they import berries from wherever (Chile?) all year round, they have become less symbolic of summer to me, but they never taste as good as they do in July.

I am SO jealous - we're in the middle of winter here in South Africa, although our winters aren't too brutal I miss days and nights of warmth. I look at your pictures and i can smel the lotion mixed with chlorine and i can taste the juice of sun ripened berries. hmmm, summer

it's so wonderful that you are documenting these beautiful summer days which pass all too quickly.

... and worms!
Wonderful things to spend your summer time on. I certainly don't blame you! Wish I could trade my computer work for outdoors adventures, actually...

Your title has put Jamie Foxx's song, Blame it on the A-a-a-a-a-a-a-alchol, in my head. :)

beautiful shots - may I ask: what do you use to shoot underwater?

Gorgeous photos as always. I saw this DIY kids water contraption and thought of Tessa and LB: http://www.curbly.com/capreek/posts/10464-make-it-the-best-diy-kids-activity-ever

Wonderful!

I kind of envy you guys for being able to freely go and pick blackberries. Here in Australia blackberry bushes are considered a weed that takes over everything so they are sprayed with herbicide so you can't pick the fruits just in case you get a lovely case of poisoning. Sad really. I loved blackberry picking when I was a little girl.

Beautiful pictures as always. :)

Oh summer, what are you? Where are you?! It's been miserable weather here in the UK (Scotland) except for a few nice days in April and the occasional day since. I am jealous.

Roxy June 23, 2011 9:33 AM

Happy Happy Summer!

Wonderful photographs Ryan, love the one of LB swimming and Tessa in her cool sunglasses! We are still freezing here so it's good to see others enjoying the warmth of the sun!
